About I am h.e.r.
I faced challenges as a woman, experiencing difficulties balancing work, family life, career progression, spirituality and societal expectations. Fuelled by this experience, I started bringing together women to discuss their struggles. So in 2012, the "I am HER (Hopeful.. Empowered.. Resilient)" program was launched to empower women to achieve their ambitions. The program's main objective is to encourage women to firstly love themselves, take risks, assert themselves, and pursue their goals despite many barriers they might face. We address topics relating to legacy, relationships and purpose. The program accommodates women from all walks of life, as we believe everyone has something unique to offer and can learn from others. The critical component of the program is bringing together a small group of women per session to talk about a specific topic of interest, share experiences, and support each other in meeting their goals. This arrangement provides a space for women to connect and build one another. The program is a resounding success, with many of the attendees reporting that they significantly expanded their professional connections. Participants praised the engaging format, particularly the structured icebreakers that facilitated meaningful conversations, leading to potential collaborations.

She is driven by the belief that technology can create value for every branch of an organization. This belief also extends to women; she believes that every woman can create value in society and in their sphere of influence. She has forged a remarkable career path marked by unwavering dedication to empowering women and promoting inclusivity. With a diverse background, she has become a beacon of hope and a catalyst for change, inspiring numerous women to pursue their dreams and overcome barriers.
Her career showcases her dedication to empowering women. Early in her career, she identified the general gaps and challenges women face. This awareness motivated her to launch the “I am HER (Hopeful, Empowered and Resilient)” program. The program supports women over 30 who struggle to balance multiple responsibilities. It also discusses challenges and what can be done to overcome them, promote each other’s business initiatives and celebrate women’s achievements in diverse fields. This initiative acknowledges women’s accomplishments and fosters a network for collaboration and support, creating a community of empowered and connected women.
The journey to empowering women has not been without its challenges. Despite facing multiple challenges, Kgaugelo’s determination has only been strengthened. She has learned that persistence, resilience, and adaptability are crucial to continuing with this program. Each setback has been a learning opportunity, reinforcing the importance of continuous advocacy.
